Hi, I’m Christina.
Over the past 35 years I have had the opportunity to experience a career as a creative entrepreneur long before it was popular. After graduating from a prestigious design school in NYC, I started out as a children’s wear designer working in the heart of the NYC Garment District; at 34th Street and Herald Square.
Growing up in NY and working in the NYC garment industry was a thrilling experience with a mixed bag of challenges that helped me increase my skills and gain the confidence to become an entrepreneur. Today, it is more important than ever to nurture your creative talents; whether you choose to attend a university or obtain the skills and knowledge through an online course. It doesn’t matter where you start; today you can take the first step toward building a career and business you love in the Children’s Wear Design Academy.
My entrepreneurial journey started when I launched a line of children’s apparel and a manufacturing business called Bumpkins, Inc. We designed and manufactured “better” children’s sportswear, sold our products to major department stores and built a thriving business. We were fortunate to have achieved success in a competitive industry, but much of that came with careful planning, focusing on what our target market needed and wanted while offering a unique product with a problem-solving feature at a reasonable price point. That magic formula still works today and that’s what I want to teach you!
If you’re a passionate creative in the fashion industry or if you’re a beginner working with a limited budget, you may be considering online instruction, but are confused about where to start, what to focus on first and who to trust. After helping hundreds of customers design, build and launch successful brands and seeing them delighted with the transformation process, it was time for me to bring that experience online for you.
